TRADEMARK LINUX. MAKE CASH 

Now here's a pearler... take a word synonymous with freedom and shared
resources, trademark it and then start licensing it out. An allegedly
crackpot lawyer in Perth, Jeremy Malcolm is kicking up a storm with demands

DTV: NON-PROFIT TV & VIDEO

A new open source platform for Internet broadcasts and podcasts was launched
this week by the Participatory Culture Foundation. DTV aims to harness the
power of RSS video enclosures and Bit Torrent to provide a low cost
mechanism for online expression. It all sounds very noble but ultimately

CITROEN AD GETS REMIXED.. YET AGAIN!

Remember that cool little MOD of the Citroen C4 ad (the one where the car
transforms itself into a Dancing Robot, and then into a busted up
Volkswagen.. yeah of course you remember!) Well here's yet another funky

MURDOCH BUYS PREMIER SOCIAL NETWORK SITE 

Intermix Media, the owner of social networking site and blog host MySpace,
has recently been acquired by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp for $580 million
USD. The deal delivers some 30 websites to the News Corporation empire and
is said to deliver a doubling of News Corps web traffic figures. Although
primarily a social networking site, MySpace is considered by a bevy of Film
& Video Producers, Music-makers and assorted Commercial and Non-commercial
Artists as an invaluable Promotional tool. Murdoch's no fool.. he's just
secured himself a front-row seat in what may well turn out to be youth
culture's biggest Interactive Virtual Mall.
